A maritime town situated on the Atlantic coast and only 13km (8miles) from the ariport, Le François is known for it's boat races, watersports, gatronomy and it's beautiful cluster of islets situated just of the coast. Le françois is also famous for it's old rum distillery (Habitation Clément) which is now open to the public. (In 1992 the "habitation" was chosen as a site for a franco-american summit between President Mitterand and President Bush.) Villa Querencia is situated 10Km from le François in Cap-Est , a stylish yet calm residential area. The villa looks out over the Atlantic and is in easy walking distance of the sea. the house is flanked by a hill whiche provides an excellent place from which to see the coral reef .
